Winter special herbal tea

In the winter season it is very soothing to indulge in a warm cup of freshly brewed tea or coffee. Given the caffeine content of these two drinks everyone is moving on the healthier options.

A lot of herbs are known to give warmth because of their inherent properties. Here’s a warm recipe of HERBAL TEA for the winter season to relish with positive health effects as well.

RECIPE – It makes 5 serves.

INGREDIENTS –

Ginger – 5 inch

Lemongrass – 4 stalks with leaves.

Cardamom – 5-6 no.s

Tulsi / basil leaves – 10-12 no.s

Jaggery (preferably organic) – 2 tbsp

Method –

Boil the ginger, lemongrass, cardamom & basil leaves in 8 cups of water. Add jaggery in to it. Boil it down to 5 glasses. Strain it & serve hot.

Benefits –

Ginger relieves digestive problems such as nausea, loss of appetite, motion sickness and pain.

Lemongrass is used for treating  stomach pain, high blood pressure, cough, joint pain, fever, common cold.

Cardamom is used for stomach protection from infections, cholesterol control, relief from heart issues, curing dental issues, urinary tract infection & improves blood circulation in the body.

Tulsi / basil helps in curing fever, control diabetes, protects heart, decreases stress, dissolve kidney stones, helps in quitting smoking and most importantly keeps your hair & skin healthy & glowing.
