Ingredients
- 1 cup dal chilla mix
- 1 water
- A pinch of turmeric powder
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 green chilli
Tempering
- 1 tsp oil
- ¼ tsp mustard seed
- ½ tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp sugar
- salt as per taste
- Juice of half lemon
- 2-3 curry leaves
- 1 small chilli
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 coriander for garnishing
Method
- In a bowl mix dal chilla along with water to get pouring consistency batter.
- Add salt turmeric powder, sugar, ginger garlic paste, chilli and mix properly.
- Pour the batter on greased pan.
- Steam for 15-20 mins in double boiler.
- On other side prepare tempering, heat the oil in pan.
- Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and salt. Stir once.
- Then add lemon juice, sugar, green chili and water to tempering, bring the mixture to boil.
- When dhokla is cooked, remove it from pressure cooker and add the tempering on dhokla.
- Now add some coriander and sesame seeds and cut the dhokla in cube pieces and serve
